Eating breakfast before coming to school certainly helps the brain function better! What they eat is also important. Studies show that children who eat breakfasts that are rich in whole grains, fiber, and protein while low in added sugar have better attention spans than children who don’t consume breakfast at all. Additionally, kids who eat breakfast are getting important nutrients, have lower blood cholesterol levels, and have better management of their weight.
